HeatSmart Newton is a program designed to make it easier for Newton residents to install heat pumps. The program is sponsored by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Council (MassCEC) and run by local volunteers. The program provides 2 main benefits:
- It provides access to a community volunteer expert who can educate you about heat pumps and help you determine what type of heat pump is right for your home
- It provides referrals to certified contractors who have been vetted for quality to ensure the installation is done right
