The range on a full charge varies from about 90 miles to 400 miles. As of when this answer was written, there are 18 EVs with a range greater than 200 miles.
Note: The stated range of an EV is similar to the fuel economy of a gas-powered car in that in practice, it is hard to achieve the rated level.
In an EV, having air-conditioning on or driving above 65 miles per hour decreases the range, significantly if you are driving well above 65 mph.
Also, as the car ages there is a small loss of maximum range, 5 or 10%. This is similar to a gas-powered car as fuel economy also goes down as a car ages
Finally, in cold weather EVs get less range, perhaps as much as 1/3 in the dead of winter. This is also similar to a gas-powered car. You may not have noticed, but fuel efficiency of your car goes down in the winter.
