Maintaining an electric vehicle is considerably simpler and less expensive than gasoline-powered cars. This is because EV has 20 moving parts vs. 400; there is no need to change oil and filter; there are no spark plugs, engine coolant, drive belts, gears, exhaust pipes, fuel injectors, fuel lines, and no catalytic converter. The brakes last longer due to regenerative braking.
Maintenance of EV is limited to:
Rotate tires every 12,000 miles
Replace passenger air filter every 36,000 miles
Drain and fill coolants every 240,000 miles
Replace windshield wiper blades every 24,000 miles
