In an existing house, installing a heat pump costs more than installing a gas boiler. But it is impossible to say how much more because it depends on the size, architecture and the presence or absence of ducts in your house. You need to ask a professional to make an estimate.
Keep in mind that a heat pump performs two functions: heating and air conditioning. So if you are also thinking of installing or replacing central air conditioning system a heat pump may turn out to cost you less as you will only need to buy 1 system instead of 2.
